The diaphrams don't require a lage volumn of vacuum like the PCV or brake booster.
I believe you will connect the vacuum to the base of the center carburator where the vacujum advance of the distributor is connected.
Just put a "T" fitting back by the distributor and then into the firewall.
That is where my console mounted vacuum gauge is connected to.
