From what I have read, neither the HSD or Tomahawk are idea with spreadbore carbs. Maybe a spacer will help but then you may run into hood clearance issues. Performer RPM is probably going to be the default choice but with your combo of heads, cam, stall and gear, I would certainly give the HSD a try and doubt that you will be giving much up to the RPM and more importantly, it should fit under your hood without too much work.

I know Cliff and Jim Hand tested the HSD on their cars and lost some overall performance to the RPM. I am not sure if they were running Holley's or Q-jets though.
