If he really liked his motorcycles, have you thought about taking either one of his favorite pictured of his favorite motorcyle and blowing it up and framing it for prosperity, or you take several pictures and put them as a collage and frame it. Something he can hang and look at whenever he wants to remember "the good ol' days."
On a whim, when I was 16, I bought my dad a model car of a 1967 Fastback Mustang. I knoew he loved those cars and it was even painted green (his favorite color). Little did I know, there was just a small amount of assembly required....
He had never put together a model anything before and was more of a computer geek kind of person thana mechanical one... But he ended up LOVING that gift. He spent three weeks putting it together, painting it and putting it up on display. 22 years later, it is on the bookshelf in his office. I couldn't afford the real thing, so I got him a model of his favorite car in his favorite color...
Just an idea.
