Again, like all new diesels, because of all the emission BS, their mileage blows in stock form. From what I've read, seen, and heard, just a DPF and EGR delete with a reprogram will gain around 5-8mpg depending on who you believe and supposably wakes these motors up. I'll take 19-23 mpg on a 8000# truck. My 1500 gas never got better than 17 on the highway and around 14 in mixed driving.

Many new diesel truck owners on another board were ranting about the same thing when the emission N'azis started. Even the VW's were dropping below 40 mpg which means they're not really getting ahead with the higher diesel prices.
