What, if anything did you do to solve the lifter tie bar/to block issue? I don't think our Crower lifters were nearly that close to the lifter bore tops. Make sure you have the correct Pontiac lifter bodies and that the bodies ARE NOT CROSS DRILLED. They are supposed to be cross drilled and then plugged on the side where the block feed is. If the cross drilling is left open, you will have way too much oil to the top end. Best of luck with your engine.
