Tom Goat, if your car has a vapor return line, this should be the correct pump for your car. I have a reprint of the Master Parts Catalog dated November 1, 1969, and the 1969 fuel pumps do not appear to be differentiated by A/C. (The 1968 fuel pumps appear to differ for A/C/non-A/C). This A.C. #40679 pump (Pontiac part #6417419) is for P/8, T/8 and F/8--Pontiac 8 cylinder, Tempest (GTO, LeMans, Tempest) 8 cylinder and Firebird 8 cylinder cars with a vapor return line.
If your car has no vapor return line, you need A.C. #40680/Pontiac #6417420.
I hope Uncle Judge does not come along to tell me that his January 1969 MPC uses different numbers........................
I assume these are hard to find--very nice of gtohurstjudge to offer. I only have one extra so I'll hold onto it (see picture). In the 80's, I should have purchased all of these that I could find but did not. I'm just glad that I have an extra correct one.
