The unitac design AC fuel pumps started losing the AC logo in the late '80's. Many years ago used to search local AC jobbers, dealerships, & swappers for pumps with the AC logos for my Pontiacs. Also got into several dealership stock deals & picked up many muscle era Pontiac A/C pumps. One bunch was from a dealership that had a a light fire in '77 & many boxes had smoke damage, the pumps were fine. installed several as did customers I sold quite a few to.. So far, all the nos pumps I've used have worked fine, but I too am afraid of e10 & what it will do to them. All through the 90's into the 00's when I was pulling engine cores I also saved nice used deep canister style AC pumps & have had good results with many of them.

For Concours judged cars, am a firm believer in installing a really nice plated used or nos pump for the show. The new late '60's & 70's AC pumps I've run across for the last 10 years don't have the ID numbers stamped on them on the edge of the aluminum mounting area. Instead the ID looks like it was digitally machined. It would be nice, if there was a company who could rebuild the original unitac design pumps & install ethanol resistant diaphragms. I'd bet it can be done, as I've come across new fuel pumps in boxes that had the AC logo on the top casting but they were from sources like Cardone.
