I just had my door panel off the GT-37 this week. The large end of the spring goes against the steel of the door. Small end toward the window crank and is put on the regulator before the door panel is installed. Next is the plastic washer and the large surface of the washer will touch the window crank and the offset center will touch the clip area of the window crank. Then install the window crank. Make to position the cranks so that they are angled back with the glass in the full position to keep the weigh of the crank handle from allowing the window to go down slightly after hitting bumps. Having the crank handle on an rearward angle will always tend to keep the glass tight on the weatherstrip.
