My pump gas motor only has a 1/4-1/2 wedge spacer on a Torker II and seems to do OK And even fits the Shaker fine.

Dynoed it with the Holley manifold modifed by SD and it dynoed the same. The Tomahawk is supposed to be a direct copy of Dave's Holley modifications.

The biggest sticker on the Tomahawk like Cliff mentioned is when using a Q jet. If you look in the plenum the front runners roof is right under the primaries in the baseplate. The secondaries have a built in "spacer" and are raised up. The front runners with a Q jet just do not flow what the rear ones will without a spacer as the air can not make that sharp turn without a spacer and maybe some of the butterflies hanging down. But it is the front runners that are the problem. Not as big a deal with a Holley as the primaries are further back dumping more in the middle of the plenum.

Here are some pictures of the Tomahawk secondary and primary. One on the left is the secondaries. Those ports are also closer to teh same size #1 and #2 are not as big as #3,4 and not enough meat to port them the same.

Dave Sober here (Torquejunki) has had good luck with a Holley on his Tomahawk to fit under a flat hood.

It just all depends what your combination is and what you want the motor to look like-stock stealth or aftgermarkey. Heck the circle track iron intake class guys pay big money to Brezenski to cut the intake open -port it and weld it back together to look stock iron
