I also just adjusted this on mine. I cranked the hood spring all the way down to bring the hood down as much as possible when latched. There was still a gap, but the hood flushed out well with the fenders so I knew the hood didn't have to come down any more. I took off the front nose panel and bent up the metal part that the nose panel bolts to pushing it up with a jack and a 2x4. I bolted the nose panel back on and it closed up the gap.
