Default Independence Lemans

I looked at the '63 Lemans (white roof/red body) in Independence last night. It is a complete car. Here is my assessment: The body has rust in the lower front fenders, the lower right windshield channel, the front passenger side body mount area, passenger side floor, the roof has several dents, and the front nose piece/arrow is dented. The trunk and rear quarters are very solid. The glass is good and the doors close soundly. The motor runs fairly smooth as the owner rebuilt the carb, but the ropeshaft is noisy. The tires need replaced. The drivers seat springs are broken. All lights work except the backup lights. I didn't drive it so can not comment on the brakes. The paint is very faded, not as good as the pictures show. He has lowered his price from $4250 to $2995. The deal will not work for me as it is priced to high to recover a profit by parting it out and I am not looking for another expensive restoration project.
