My first set of MT drag radials lasted a long time. The new set are the MT drag radial II. They have a few more tread groves and I am thinking they are softer. Every time I break them loose or just haze them a little, they roll up the rubber on surface and will not hook for crap! It takes many miles of light driving to get them smooth again and they will hook pretty good until they spin again. They are very new and already worn a lot. I am looking at going to 18's in the rear because there are some tires out there around 27" tall. The 17" nitto 555r's are around 25.5 tall. Would be nice to have something that somewhat matches the 555,s on the front. For some time now I have thought the car was not pulling hard from mid range up in first gear. After some playing around on a light asphalt road, I can see the car is hazing the tires through first gear long after it seems to be hooked. I think the MT,s are just too soft. Think I am going to put the torque arm set up back on.
