Well I got a little over excited about installing the HEI distributor in my 67 GTO. I checked the base timing before I pulled the old distributor but I forgot to set cylinder 1 tdc.

now I'm not sure which direction the rotor was pointing when I removed it. I'd prefer not to take a 50/50 chance of being 180 degrees off.
Please help.
Also does anybody have any pictures of where you spliced into the fuse box for the 12v wire to the HEI? Otherwise will a shorting bar on the back side of the ignition switch from "ignition 1" and "ignition 2" provide the same results and allow me to use the 2 wires that were originally on the coil +?
