Good question......

It wasn't that long ago that 70-73 T/A's seemed to be in a similar limbo..

It seems that 79-81's are the Rodney Dangerfields of 2nd gen T/A's right now...

Most people never accepted the bumper revisions and much prefer the 77/78 style....and then there's the Smokey and the Bandit thing on those years...

Don't know which engine & options your 79 has,but unless it's a W72/WS6/SE with T-tops...there doesn't seem to be much demand...

Pontiac guys STILL want a Pontiac under the hood....90,000 were built with 403 Olds engines.

Wasn't THAT long ago that 10k would get you a NICE low mile 77/78 survivor car.....

Now they seem to be trading in the 20-30K range...with the right colors and options..
Hopefully the 79's time will come...
