I think the bumper revision in 79 was accepted extremely well, at least by the car buying public, since more 79's were sold than any year in history ever, and in spite of most of them having Olds engines

Everybody's going to have their own tastes. I like some of the styling in other years, but 79's will always be my favorite. I like the style, proportion and blending of the nose into the front end better than any other. And the tail treatment is great too. So I enjoy looking at it, and think it's the epitome of TA styling, and the style that got me to buy one(or 3).
