The oil pump being in the front of the SBF, as well as the way the oil pan has to be configured because of the oil pump location, and the way the front suspension is setup on '32 Fords, as well as the placement of the engine are all a factor. I prefer to see a flathead in there anyways.

Most of those are setup with the Chevrolet SB, the TH 350 trans, the Monte Carlo Tilt Column, the Pinto Rack and Pinion, and the Ford 9 inch rearend. Popular Hot Rodding years ago had a car called "Project '32" that had a Pontiac 400 in the '32 Ford.
