Just wanted to jump in because I painted my first complete car with single stage and love it. I have done single panels with bc/cc but never had to blend or repair chips or scratches with bc/cc. I dont have a lot of experience with paint in general.
After picking the people's brains at my local paint sop I chose single stage because they convinced me that repair work is easier afterward.I have fixed some imperfections and some chips with the single stage and found it very easy. Also I applied it heavy and wet sanded the orange peel out later and it turned out really nice. It is very shiny.
1st pic is the car, 2nd pic looking at reflection of the red car prior to wet sanding, 3rd pic is same as 2nd pic but after wet sanding and buffing.
