Sure it could be made to work. I can't tell how these heads were softened, some are smooth transitions that can only be noticed with a straight edge, others I've seen look like stair steps in the chamber, same type heads from different shops.
I know of a 481x that is being converted to nitrous use, they are being told it won't work, guess we will see next season.

What exactly are you calling a ford "pro-stock" head? The E460 junk or the hemi/DRCE knock off junk that only a couple people have attempted to run?
I know of a boss9 headed engine using an ancient AR block like I have that has been faster than any of the pro stock junk in an old chassis with an old f3. The heads and block are '80s tech, the procharger early '00s, runs in the bottom 4s 1/8th mile.
C460s have valve train problems and need the chambers softened for nitrous use, the "replacement" head has a tendency for the seats to fall out of them. A460s have been just as fast as any C460 headed motor.
One of the best choices available would be the current Blue Thunder Thors, if you have the 10k for pair.
