I bought a 66 GTO in the mid 80's. I took the trans. out to switch to a 4 speed. To the best of my knowledge it was a 3 speed manual. I remember for sure though that on the side of trans. it had FO MO CO. I assumed Ford Motor Co. Did General Motors put Ford trans. in GTO's back then???
