Fractures didnt occur till my youngest was almost 4. Was in excellent shape prior... 10 inches taller 6" wider at the shoulder... Very active and fit. Cancer I had(multiple myeloma a blood cancer in same category as leukemia) affects the normal bone cell replacement making them get sponge-like and fragile... By time I got properly diagnosed I'd fractured my back a few times. Cancer has been in check for several years now and bone density is like it should be...just bones healed wrong leavin my back bent and rib cage distorted. At my age(60) not worth risky surgery to look "pretty" again and maybe get half my lost height back. No promise of less discomfort either. Its been an amazing 7 years... Doin things I thought I'd never be able to do again etc..
BTW cancer had no effect on the plumbing... Was ready to play even in severe pain. Still armed and dangerous. Wife wasnt thrilled havin our last one at 45 and took care of that after delivery. (fwiw my oldest isnt hers)
Sorry for a bit TMI
