I LOVED flying in helicopters when I was in the Army. Way better than flying in a plane. I always loved how smooth it felt riding in a Huey. I had a ride in a Chinook once and I loved that too. They're pretty fast when empty. That said, my very first flight, we had a near miss flying over Fayetteville, NC. Probably came within 100' of another helicopter slightly above us and descending. The pilot simply dropped out of the other guy's way like it was no big deal.
