Jerry, I have seen Austin wheel a car in person here in Ohio. If he's not taken out in a wreck he stands a good chance of being in the top 10, he is very talented. I have also seen Wanica wheel a car in person at Eldora here in Ohio, and she wrecked the car on the second lap of the heat race. Her qualifying today wasn't the least bit impressive, nothing lost anyway as by her engine blowing in practice yesterday relegates her to the rear of the field in the twin races and next Sundays race. The only perk for her is the higher up she is in qualifying the better choice for a pit stall. Both Richard and Kyle Petty have her pegged as a no talent sideshow.

Cheatin Chad has been caught so many times cheating in NASCAR they scrutinize the 48 more so, so he is held in check. The 48 winning all the time is not helping with retaining fans, or bring new fans. The new chase format was implemented this year to give the other teams a better chance to compete and beat the 48 team.

Considering Knaus's former record and the fact the man has no desire to change his ways about rule bending is the reason that their car must be 100% within specs. If you follow NASCAR weekly the 48 team is always stuck in tech week after week because Knaus is always trying to be right on the edge of limits and sometimes over the edge. There were more infractions today as he had the tread width spaced out too far, along with having the bottom skirting too wide on the body. With a legal car the 48 team wasn't very impressive today either, 14th today.
