That being said the first person picked to endorse the product was not universally liked in the Pontiac community. I feel this led to some people to have reservations regarding the performance claims being made. Also, I seem to remember a lot of anti KRE high port rhetoric with allegations regarding casting quality and valve seats falling out. The high port has gone on to show great power capabilities and is considered a strong choice for a performance application. The high port has proven to be a good head.
