I was always under the impression that when the timing dots were lined up with crank at 12 o'clock and cam at 6 o'clock that the #1 piston should be at TDC. Yes/No? I was hoping to pull the cam and distributor with #1 at TDC that way I could start there when degreeing the cam and adjusting the valves.

On top of that the game plan was to double check TDC when we degree the cam.
