reverbs
Okay, I've finally got my reverb unit working with the help of an NOS spring assembly I procured. Still haven't had any luck finding a 69 switch but I've got a 68 switch and an AM radio all spread out on my table along with an antenna and a 12v power source. So, again, this is a 68 setup. I'm not too keen on how it works. Reverb off, it plays standard sound through the front speaker and nothing through the rear. Turn the reverb switch to "On",the front speaker plays normally and the rear speaker comes on with the reverb effect. Move the switch to "R" and the front speaker shuts off and the rear speaker plays standard without the reverb effect.
So basically there's no setting for the front and rear speakers to play at the same time unless you've got the reverb effect going on the rear only.
Now, looking at the wiring for the 69 reverb setup, it incorporates an externally mounted rear fader into the wiring. The 69 switch is only on and off, no R selection so I'm guessing the fader basically cuts reverb signal from full on to nothing at the rear speaker only when the reverb switch is on.
Anyone out there have a functioning 69 reverb setup? Can you confirm that the rear speaker plays nothing without the reverb switch being on?
