I just had my numbers matching 350 rebuilt in my 71 Formula. Engine was bored 40 over. I had the #94 heads shaved down 50 thousands to increase the compression. They're around 85cc's now. Arp studs added. Estimating my CR is around 8.7 to 1.
I also installed a Summit 2800 cam with new lifters and springs. Edelbrock intake with a 670 Holley.
I had the engine dynoed before putting it back in the car and it's creating 290hp. and 385 ft. lbs of torque. Very flat torque curve which makes it fun to drive. I'm not going to win many races against the other heavy hitters on this forum, but I'm happy with my numbers-matching car that will burn all the rubber I want.
