Had a set of the '70 #16's on a 73 350. That set was 78 cc stock, I had them milled to 68 cc putting CR at 10:1 with flat tops in std bore. I was running 204/214 cam and I really liked that combo, but think that cam was a little on the small side. That combo would have liked something more like the 068 cam especially with my 4-speed and 3.36 gears.
