I have a 70 so it may or may not be the same. I removed mine after I had already removed the dash. (dash pad replacement) However I did note that the attachment points (bolt holes) were actually hooks. If I had loosened the 3 bolts I could have rotated the clock clockwise or counter clockwise to release the 3 hook pattern from the 3 bolt pattern.
If you happen to be taking it out to get the clock movement serviced, I used the link below in January. I think I had the clock back in 2 weeks or so. (including shipping time both ways)
