I can remember laying on my left side on the table in waiting for about 15 minutes. Every now and then the monitoring attendant would tell me to "breath" because I kept stopping the respiratory monitor. I stop breathing in my sleep. So when it was time to put me under I remember seeing how long I could hold out awareness. About 3 seconds as I remember. Then there was nothing. When I awoke from that nothing they were trying to sit me upright, but I fell back. The orderly wrenched my wrist trying to catch me, but I had no ability to help much. Then I asked what drug they gave me. When someone told me whatever it was called, I commented that I gotta get some more of that. When the entire room was laughing I realized I had said it out loud. Then they couldn't find my clothes because I was the only one who knew which locker they were in.
All I could think of afterwards was Shoney's Breakfast Bar. I ended up driving there because we weren't getting there fast enough.
