Nice score...
I've saw a couple of those lately on the ePay still in the unopened rip cord boxes, but they were above my pay grade. I've been buying some really clean and relatively well preserved as far as wear was concerned later model switches with a good arrow (>) and clean ON stenciling. Then I buy some really old ugly switches that had a well preserved button that had the W A S H on it. I just removed the much sought after wash button and popped it on the nice switch that had the P U S H button it....
If you have a complete original #'s car, I think you are spending wisely.
I was told to spend it on what shows, not on what doesn't or gets covered up or painted. I wish I had met him 10 years earlier. I used to be that guy that had a 15,000 dollar car, spent 7500 on it and then had a 17,000 dollar car.
I finally learned to stick with as much good used original parts as can be done and just the stuff everybody sees, including the judges, should be new and/or NOS.
Some may disagree. That's okay. It works for me.
PS...you got a great thread going here. I really enjoy looking at all the pics. As thorough as you are, your car is going to be magnificent when you finish. Keep it coming.
