Comp guys who build their own are my heroes! A lot of people have no clue as to how much effort and money goes into racing in Comp.
Some of the ingenuity can help here. Fuel some thoughts to include a higher level of Pontiac. And if somebody wants to run with it great. I think a 400ish ci Pont could go pretty fast.
