my friend had a 69 cvt in liberty blue that had them from the factory. I tried them with tape on a few of my cars over the years and none of them lasted a day. I find they make the car look bigger and higher as well as drawing your eye away from the beautiful beltline shape of the car (the judge stripe played to that strength).

I would never add them to a car but if my car had them on the PHS I'd be torn. If you decide to go for it I'd at least go with a complimentary rather than contrasting color to tone down the effect. Why not put the tape version on one side only for a while as you use the car. Seeing it in different light and at different angles will help you decide.

btw the 69 codes were 494 D98 at $13.69 and when I look at my PHS collection of about 400 non-judge 69's the take rate is about 1.5%
