Thanks For the link Alvin. I haven't been lurking for long and enjoyed the read about Chastings car. I was in high school a decade later than the movie depicts, but the mid 80s weren't that different - except I drove an 84 Buick and not a GTO . Had I known then what I know now.

Chastings- I'd be interested in seeing your '70 some day as I'm partial to 4 speeds and that's a fun history on your car.

mess1153 - it's great your are keeping your dad's car in the family. You're in a good area for paint and body guys should the need arise.
