They start the Indy 500 THREE wide.



If they can start three wide - they can restart at least double file and they shouldn't have to stretch the cars out over a mile.

Unless the drivers can't handle their cars properly after a few laps of racing.

NASCAR can pull off a restart with 43 cars on a half mile track double file.

It's not too much to expect Indy Cars to restart 33 cars on a 2.5 mile track double file.
