Eric & Mike- glad you're "safe and ready to do it again"!

I sure don't know anything about a fuel engine. But I'm curious about the setup- how 'loose' are the mains? Molasses (aka Nitro-70) for lube? What alloy is the crank? Rod side-clearances? 3" mains? "Babbit" type bearings? (I've forgotten the brand name- out of England- popular in blown-alky).

Back in the early sixties, I think it was C-T automotive that created a 'breakthrough' for fueler crank/bearing durability by hard-chroming the journals. It was still being done in the eighties; has it gone out of favor now?
