More wet sanding....
Last night I decided to tackle the worst panel on the Black Car - the trunk lid. Although the scratching was not so bad, the trunk had the worst damage from acid rain, looking almost leopard like in terms of the number of spots. It was entirely covered. I followed the same process that has been used on the rest of the car, but due to the depth of the acid rain etching I had to sand it twice with the 2000 grit paper. The results are amazing. All of the spots are gone. Completely gone. The bad news is that now you see more prominently the 3 or 4 small paint chips and imperfections that cannot be sanded out. I'll take that trade. Only the roof and rear quarters remain to be polished.
