If this is an original paint car, Lacquer will remelt into itself, but looking at the pix it dosent look like lacquer to me. But either way an improvement can be made . Dab black lacquer into the gauges, build it up, block it level and buff....It will look good as new.

I'm sure you mean gouges, not gauges.
