That picture leads me to believe that that Buick could be made into a real road burner. The early 300 had aluminum heads and intake and was pretty light, the later one had iron heads with an aluminum intake and still only weighed a little over 450 pounds. The engine also sits back in the chassis more than the Pontiac. The distributor being in the front gives them more rear clearance but it looks like the engine's harder to work on than a Pontiac. There's not a lot of room in there. If the aluminum heads will fit the 340, it might make a nice combination. Even if you only used a period GTO handling package it could be made to handle really well.
