We have often used STP oil treatment (in the blue plastic bottle) for bearings.
Thick sticky stuff.

For flat tappet cams, the grey moly type thick paste on cam lobes and bottoms of lifters.

Once your oil pan is on, I pour one bottle across and down the lifter bores. Good for lifter body sides.

A bottle of 30 wt motor oil for most other tasks.
