On all of the original 3-core radiators I have seen, that driver's side tank is thinner than on the 4-core radiators. So, a 3-core radiator actually has two different sized tanks.

Agree with what you say. I have 5 original Harrison radiators and they all came from 70-73 Trans ams with different cooling options. Tanks are key.
