I found this hydraulic conversion thread in the 61-older forum, and this really seems like the way to go. That 61-62 linkage looks clunky anyway and it is $$$... (clutch fork by itself is $245.)

hydraulic TOB is about $360 and the MC is $50. I've got a buddy who has some serious fab skills... I can weld in sheetmetal but that is the extent of my welding experience.
