Amazingly quick quarter-mile performance with a 3.08 gear in a heavy street car, can't wait to see the next installment as you further tune it and refine it.

Curious to know the fuel consumption on the trip to and from the track, I'd bet it could pull down close to 15 MPG.

I recall reading in the H-O Racing catalog that the 455/TH400/3.08 combo was their favorite street combo, now we all know why.
Still a long way to go......learned a lot from those guys... Jim Hand...the Godfather of Hard Running Stockish Street Pontiacs...and Darby's voyage down the timeslip with the big Grandville, and Cliff's mastery of the Quadrajet and dumpster full of Holleys and 274 Comp cams...and many others on this forum...

Fuel mileage was decent the last time I only stopped once to bring the tank up to 3/4 15 miles before the track...
My buddys car Torquewar's is very impressive in itself..he is usually there running too...stock appearing 78 Trans Am with a quadrajet running the same times at 120mph!
