Would putting larger idle feed tubes in the q-jet help acceleration at all? I rebuilt a 76 Pontiac q-jet and put it on the Pontiac 350 in my 75 Lemans. I did pull the tubes, but put the stock size back in. It's a bit sluggish on take off, and other than being an original low powered engine with 2.56's, I think it should still be a little snappier on takeoff. Just wondering what the tubes affect. Otherwise, the idle is great and it runs fine once it gets going.
