This picture is of a water pump on a 72 Firebird with a 350. I believe it is the original pump to the car, but I'm not 100% sure. This one has a "72" cast into the pump, and I assume that indicates 1972. Did the 296 pumps always have the model year cast into them? Did it change year-by-year?
