Several years ago I bought a 5 piece kit for the same thing you are looking for. It is a pretty thin plastic that just installs with an adhesive. It has been in use for 14 years with no issues. Look at either Lowe's or Home Depot websites for bathtub surrounds. There are a few different 5 piece kits offered by both.
