Im not going to discourage the use of zolatone but would suggest anyone considering its use consult someone experienced in its application. My application was destined for failure beginning with product. Good luck finding the red. Its either been on a shelf too long or the distributor wont order a small qty of 2-3 qts. My painter did not apply the correct primer. And the distributor gave him bad advice telling him it could be dilluted up to 10pct water. Wrong!! My painter assumed alot of the responsibility for not researching. It took him a couple days to get it all out plus a scuff and repaint.

I do agree it does not look like the factory finish. In my opinion the original looks like thick nonuniform red oxide dull primr with a small amt of black particle.

My trunk is now in semi black chassis saver and thats how it will remain for now. Once the car is on the road i might revisit the trunk finish but for now, i want to drive it.

Thanks gor all the compliments and advice. Much appreciated. The car turned out well and i cant wait to take dad for a good run. It should make 450hp easy and tq should be around 550. And it looks stock to boot.
