Congratulations on time! Great thread on the 3.08 gear. I have always loved mine in my 68 GTO (different differential than stock - 12-bolt from GP). 462, high compression, aluminum flywheel 4-spd wide ratio trans, 14x7 rallys with 245 tires. Through exhaust I ran 12.68@111+ back in 1988. Never needed more gear. Great highway mileage - easy on engine.
