At a car show last saturday, a guy asked if the 428 in my 66 GTO was a Ford engine. Caught me off guard, didn't have time to think of any smart-a$$ answer, so I just said "no its a Pontiac 428". He said "huh, never heard of a Pontiac 428".
Another guy walked by later and while discussing my car, I told him that I have owned it for 32 years, bought it while I was in high school. His response, "did you buy it new?"
(Keep in mind that I was born in March 1966, the same month my GTO was made, and I look younger than I am, so I'm told). I said no, that would have been in 1983. I bet that I have been asked the "did you buy it new" question about 10 times in the past two years.
