I think I would never pay that much for a core motor. Do you need the specific casting # or date codes for a restoration?
People seem to think 428s were cast in gold. I don't see any particular value to them as the blocks won't install in the 2nd gen F-bodies without adapters, lots of them came with the small valve heads, and 4" stroke cranks are readily available in the aftermarket.
