There is one major difference between the NOS replacement fenders and the originals. The hood hinge mounting bosses were rectangular plates with a tapped hole welded in place on the original fenderss. Some time in the 80s, that design was changed to remove the weld nut and replace it with rectangular holes for using a cage nut.
If it ever stops raining, I'm going to shoot a couple of photos. The fender is rust free. It was among the stuff I've had the longest.
